Maintenance Mechanic

We are searching for three (3) full-time Maintenance Mechanics to join our maintenance team based in Newburyport, MA during the following shifts and hours:
  • 1 position - Maintenance Mechanic – Tech III level
  • 1st shift (4:00 am – 12:30 pm), Monday – Friday
  • Pay range DOE: $37 - $42/hr. + SIGN-ON BONUS $$
  • 1 position – Maintenance Mechanic – Tech II level
  • Split shift, 2nd/3rd shift (4:00 pm – 2:30 am), Monday – Friday
  • Pay range DOE: $31-$36/hr. with a 2nd shift differential of $1.63/hr. + SIGN-ON BONUS $$
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Tech III Level - Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of maintenance experience (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, welding, pneumatics, and general maintenance) required.
  • Tech II Level - Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of maintenance experience (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, welding, pneumatics, and general maintenance) required.
  • Mechanic experience in a food manufacturing plant preferred.
  • Ability to become familiar with any applicable OSHA regulations (e.g. hazard communications, lockout/tagout) and apply this knowledge to daily duties required.
  • Maintains plant and plant equipment including but not limited to mixers, production belts, slicers, pallet jacks, pneumatic pumps, dish washers, and ovens.
  • Actively participates in Continuous Improvement projects and processes.
  • Communicates with vendors to ensure availability and prices of replacement parts /or services.
  • Performs emergency and routine repairs as needed.
  • Participates in the GFSI/FSSC22000 yearly audit and assists in the development of procedures and corrective actions.
  • Adheres to the plant’s Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) plans.
  • Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to communicate with others to ensure proper production flow to avoid line downtime or disruptions.
  • Must communicate with appropriate personnel to maintain plant to the best of our ability.
  • Must perform job tasks in a safe and professional manner.

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, crouch and climb steps.
