3rd Shift Sanitation assistant hours 11 pm to 7 am Sunday thru Thursday and every other Friday Pay $15.50 +$3.00 Shift differential.
JOB FUNCTION: Assist the Sanitation Supervisor in all aspects of the Sanitation Department.
Essential functions of the job: Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Works as a member of a team where each Sanitation Assistant has the responsibility of working together to cover the sanitation needs of the plant
Sanitation assistants must also work independently being individually accountable for completing duties as assigned by Supervisor or Lead
Must know and follow established cleaning practices as principles
When work load in assigned area is light or completed must actively seek to assist others in their assigned areas
May be required to work weekends & holidays
Rotates to other Sanitation Department positions as needed
Cleaning various items (including equipment, utensils, and barrels)
Cleaning various areas including floors, bath rooms, doors, walls, windows
Collecting/empty trash/cardboard/ into proper recycling receptacles; operating balers
Must be able to operate steam cleaner, foamer, automatic floor scrubber
Operate pan and rack washer machines as well as loading and unloading
Must wear personal protective equipment appropriate to job functions
Must be aware of OSHA hazard communication standards and apply this knowledge to daily job functions
Participates in the GFSI/FSSC22000 yearly audit and assists in the development of procedures and corrective actions
Must adhere to the plant’s HACCP plan
Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
Performs other duties as assigned

Must be able to perform job duties at a pace that is consistent with the pace set by the Supervisor of the department
Must possess good interpersonal skills including the ability to work productively and consistently with others
Possessing normal to excellent manual dexterity and motor skills
Must possess organizational and delegation skills
Ability to do overhead lifting and bending
Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs.
Possessing good eye-hand coordination
Possessing excellent listening and comprehension skills
Basic computer skills
Familiarity with OSHA standards
This position reports directly to the Supervisor and or Manager
