JOB FUNCTION:
 
To properly accept finished product, while ensuring a proper production flow and quality product.           
                            
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Daily utilization of “Advanced Detection System” metal detector & keep a daily log of tested product
2. Must be able to operate electric and hand jacks
3. Delivers finished pallets of product to Warehouse Department with completed log entries
4. Work with Warehouse personnel to be sure product counts are accurate
5. Operate computer-using Legi for Windows, program to print labels, design labels & enter product information into Database
6. Must be able to complete all DSI transactions on a daily basis
7. Stacking full cases on pallets in appropriate formation according to product type
8. Must be able to program Robot for pallet stacking
9. Casing pies/cakes, and & casing frozen/sliced product in a timely manner
10. Taping & labeling cases using the Little David taping machine & “Label Air” label machine
11. Actively participates in Continuous Improvement projects and processes
12. Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work area
13. Participate in the GFSI/FSSC22000 yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions
14. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
15. Adhere to the plant’s HACCP plans
16. Performs other duties as assigned

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Must be able to learn & understand all portioned product ( e.g. pies, cakes & cheesecakes) units/packs, packing materials, bar codes, expiration dates, jet coders & apply this knowledge to daily duties
2. Must be able to complete all DSI transactions
3. Must be willing & able to complete casing reports

1. Must possess good interpersonal skills including the ability to work productively and consistently with others
2. Ability to promote teamwork
3. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
4. Ability to do overhead lifting and bending
5. Possessing excellent upper and lower body strength
6. Possessing normal to excellent manual dexterity and motor skills
7. Basic computer skills
8. Must be able to operate elevator properly & safely
9. Must be able to perform basic mathematical skills.
10. Must be able to read, write and comprehend basic instructions and processes of the job.
