JOB FUNCTION:
 
To properly perform any Scaler/prep job, by prepping acceptable ingredients, while ensuring a proper Production flow, especially from Scaler/prep to the mixer.                  

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 

1. Operating scaling/preparation equipment (including sifters, grinders, electric jack, choppers, and others)
2. Weighing ingredients according to formulas and the work list
3. Filling out all paperwork completely, on a daily basis
4. Working on the depositing line as needed
5. Relieving Mixer during breaks
6. Completing all DSI transactions relating to this position
7. Actively participates in Continuous Improvement projects and processes
8. Maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary work area
9. Participating in the GFSI/FSSC22000 yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions
10. Adherence to the plant’s HACCP plans
11. Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
12. Other duties as assigned

   ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

1. Must communicate with others to ensure proper flow to avoid downtime.

1. Must be able to perform basic mathematical skills.
2. Must be able to read, write and comprehend basic instructions and processes of the job.
3. Ability to up to 50 pounds repetitively
4. Ability to apply company methods and standards to daily job function
5. Ability to do overhead lifting
6. Ability capacity to successfully use a wide range of equipment
7. Strong attention to detail
8. Strong time management & organizational skills
9. Excellent interpersonal skills, especially the ability to work well with others
