JOB FUNCTION To assist with the planning and implementation of the Dianne's Fine Desserts Safety Process to ensure a safe, healthful, and accident-free work environment by performing duties personally or through the assistance of others.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Conduct audits, self-assessments, and inspections.
Coordinate, conduct and train facility employees to effectively recognize potential hazards and recommend resources to remedy the hazards.
Conduct Behavior Observation and provide feedback to appropriate personnel
Serve on committees, task forces, and across functional teams.
Assist with operation of the Dianne’s Safety Process with the ultimate goal being to provide a safe and healthy environment for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Assist with updating and administer OSHA safety programs/plans/processes to comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
Update and administer OSHA training programs/plans/processes.
Assist with coordinating internal reports for all safety and medical concerns.
Provide administrative support for projects by collecting data, providing project documentation, training staff, and performing other general duties.
Notify appropriate supervisor and/or manager to correct employee safety concerns.
Notify appropriate personnel of recommended corrective actions as a result of identified potential safety risks or hazards
Assist with conducting investigations of all reporting of injuries, illness, near misses, and property damage or theft.
Assist in conducting mock drills
Monitor video surveillance on an as needed basis
Participate in regulatory inspections.
Must adhere to the plant’s HACCP plans
Participate in the GFSI/FSSC22000 yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures & corrective actions.
Follow all good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
Answer phone calls, emails or other company communications.
Fax, copy and file paperwork.
Abide by all safety regulations
Performs all other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL SPANISH INTERPRETER FUNCTIONS
Provide translation to support HR/Safety Department
Provide cultural and language resource support to all departments.
The Interpreter must be sensitive to business needs, employee good will and maintain employee and business privacy.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong coaching, training and project management skills
Troubleshoot issues with little supervision.
Resourceful and good problem solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, MS Office.
Strong data entry skills
Detailed and meticulous with good organizational skills.
Must be articulate, tactful and professional at all times
Self-motivated individual
This position requires a flexible work schedule. Some early mornings and some later evenings.
