Warehouse Freezer Selector - First and Second Shift
Newburyport, MAWork Schedule is typically 4 days for 10 hours per day but overtime is sometimes required.

JOB FUNCTION:
Maintain a level of complete accuracy to ensure customer service and to all our customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Select orders
- Shrink wrap orders on pallets
- Checking all incoming shipments
- Arranging products in a neat, secure package for delivery, organizing pallets with frozen products suitable for shipping
- Verifying information on purchase orders (printing all incoming purchase orders on JD Edwards computer system)
- Rotating product for storage up to and including lotting and inventory
- Processing wholesale, Market Basket and retail orders (including setting-up, checking/verifying, shipping, and quality control)
- Filling company requisitions
- Finished Goods, maintaining accurate locations of inventory to ensure proper levels of Finished Good (FG) Inventory.
- Must be able to operate large forklift reach truck, fork lifts, pallet jacks and hand dollies
- Verifying and shipping all out going material/including but not limited to Dianne’s Fine Desserts Product
- Checking all incoming and outgoing carriers
- Prefer knowledge of all GFSI/FDA and OSHA regulations but we will train.
- Participate in the GFSI/FSSC22000 yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions
- Must adhere to the plant’s HACCP plans.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work area
- Following all current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
- Performs other duties as assigned
Actively participates in Continuous Improvement projects and processes
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently
- Possess English reading and writing skills
- Experience handling heavy machinery (e.g. fork lift)
- Ability to do overhead lifting and bending
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Possessing excellent upper and lower body strength
- Possessing normal to excellent manual dexterity and motor skills
- Possessing good eye-hand coordination
- Possessing excellent listening and comprehension skills
- Must possess good interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with others
- Ability to become familiar with DSI/JD Edwards computer system and apply this knowledge to daily duties
