PURPOSE -
- To oversee and direct all warehousing and logistics operations at Dianne’s Fine Desserts- Newburyport.
- Coordinate all LTL common carrier deliveries, and investigate new methods of shipping our products.
- Maintain integrity of all temperature-sensitive raw materials and finished goods utilizing standards set by Dianne’s Fine Desserts management team.
- Provide support to assigned team by working in Freezer with proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Partner with Manager to etablish and operate within departmental budget.
- Negotiate and procure materials for warehousing and logistics operation.
- Maintain integrity of both finished goods and raw materials inventory via JD Edwards system.
- Ensure compliance with all inbound and outbound lot tracking procedures JD Edwards.
- Participate in management meetings.
- Participate in Safety program.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES –
- Interface daily with Procurement and Production to maintain production efficiencies and customer satisfaction,
- Manage monthly physical inventories and reconciliation to ensure accurate financials and procurement.
- Assist in ensuring accurate usage of JD Edwards to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Ensure inspections of all inbound and outbound trucks, using established shipping and receiving procedures, to ensure the highest quality products going to our customers.
- Provide support to assigned team by working in Freezer with proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Manage employees in the bargaining unit in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Verify all production numbers received into finished goods storage, thus maintaining inventory accuracy in JD Edwards.
- Interface with Production Planning Manager to ensure product availability.
- Mediate third-party shipping issues.
- Participate in the GFSI/FSSC22000 yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures & corrective actions as needed.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPENTENCIES-
- Bilingual speaking and writing skills -English/Spanish (preferred but not required).
- JD Edwards experience (preferred but not required).
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience (warehouse setting preferred).
- Direct exposure to purchasing, accounting, data processing, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong computer skills (including MRP systems).
- Working knowledge of HACCP.
- APICS or other resource management society affiliation (preferred but not required).
- Leadership skills, analytical ability, integrity, initiative, objectivity, creativity, human relations skills, written and verbal communication skills.
- Stand-up Forklift Training/Certification preferred.
