JOB FUNCTION
Maintains confidential, accurate, up to date medical and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) process and records. Administers first aid medical treatment in cases of work related accidents – illness

Accountabilities
  • Help develop and implement new operations risk management programs, policies, procedures and training.
  • Help Lead Plant on the floor  Safety Teams.
  • Provide regular communication and guidance to the Operations Risk Management team regarding Operations Risk Management activities and performance.
  • Assist on related committees, task forces, an across-functional teams.
  • Participate in the GFSI/FSSC22000 yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions
  • Conduct audits, self-assessments, and inspections.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and recommendations for project implementation including equipment specifications/installations and facility modifications.
  • Participate in regulatory inspections.
  • Must adhere to the plant’s HACCP plans
  • Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
  • Provide administrative support for projects by collecting data, providing project documentation, training staff, and performing other general duties.
  • Lead Behavior and Observation feedback.
  • Purchase Operations Risk Management related items as directed by the EH&S Manager
  • Safety Management
         Assist with operation of the Dianne’s Safety Process with the ultimate goal being to provide a safe and healthy environment for employees, contractors, and visitors.
          Update and administer OSHA safety programs/plans/processes to comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
          Update and administer OSHA training programs/plans/processes.
          Coordinate, conduct and train facility employees to effectively recognize potential hazards and recommend resources to remedy the hazards.
           Train, develop, and provide direction for the Safety Teams comprised of hourly and salaried employees representing all shifts and departments
            Assist in coordinating the development of the SHARP (Safety and Health Accident Reduction Plan) and follow up with recommended actions.
            Coordinate internal reports for all safety and medical concerns.
            Notify appropriate supervisor and/or manager to correct employee safety concerns.
            Monitor Maintenance completion of safety related work relate work orders and report to EH&S Manager when assistance is needed to have immediate correction.
             Assist in coordination, directing, and conduction investigations of all reporting of injuries, illness, near misses, and property damage of theft.
 
Food Safety/Food Defense
 
●   Assist / Maintain a Food Defense Assessment of facility.
●   Train plant personnel on the Food Defense Plan.
●   Assist in conducting drills to ensure the effectiveness of the Food Defense Plan.
 
Security
 
●   Maintain Access Control Program for facility for contractor and visitors.
●   Investigate the damage of company property related to safety and take appropriate actions to correct the situation.
●   Maintain the actions to be taken in the event of an emergency that may involve danger to personnel or damage to company property.
●   Provide employee training for workplace violence and handling aggressive persons.
●   Maintain a Workplace Violence Procedure that builds upon the corporate policy.
 
Business Continuity Management
 
●   Assist with development and updating of the Business Continuity Plan.
●   Assist with assessment of the Business Continuity Plan and implemented corrective actions to improve as necessary.
 
Quality Risk Management Program
 
●   Help manage the legal Requirements, Personal Protective Equipment, and Security sections of Quality Risk Management Program.
 
Qualifications
 
  1. Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation, OSHA/EPA compliance, and the key element approach to loss prevention a plus.
  2. Possess the ability to effectively administer the factory‘s risk management and loss prevention processes, possess strong problem solving an decision-making skills, an strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  3. Minimum 2years manufacturing experience preferable in Employee Safety.
  4. Possess the ability to effectively support and communicate all factory risk management performance and reporting needs to all levels of factory and corporate employees.
  5. Posses the ability to work closely with the factory manager, staff members, supervisors team leaders, hourly associates, contractor, federal and state regulators an insurance carriers.
     
     
    Education and/or Experience
     
    ●   Computer proficiency including Microsoft office.
    ●   Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
     
    Language Skills/Ability
     
    ●   Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
    ●   Ability to effectively present information to top management, salaried and hourly groups.
    ●   Bilingual preferred.
