Trainer Coordinator

Primary focus will be training production new hires in all areas of their position, duties and responsibilities.  Coordinates, documents and delivers training programs for the manufacturing plant.  Partners with manufacturing leadership to accurately document standard processes that support safety, quality and overall individual and facility performance. Regularly collaborates with leadership to assess gaps in these areas and adjust training offerings as needed. Works with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure all training meets the requirements of the task and location. Supports a learning environment by partnering with Continuous Improvement and driving results.  Responsible for maintaining and entering accurate training records and ensuring that workers have completed required training.  Partners with Human Resources and Production on implementation of training processes.

  • Work with new hires and existing employees in the specified subject areas to train, retrain or cross train them for specific job titles.
  • Work with new hires to understand and follow good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
  • Maintain each employees training related documents, training checklist, training quizzes and other training related materials.
  • Test trainees to evaluate their progress and the effectiveness of the training.
  • Report on progress of employees under your guidance during training periods to production supervisor and HR Manager.
  • Work with leads, value stream leads and supervisors as needed to support and develop training efforts.
  • Use standard work procedures and other training materials to instruct learners on subjects relevant for their area.
  • Properly guide employees to be efficient without sacrificing safety and quality.
  • Develop a strong relationship with all departments.
  • Support production needs when there are no employees to train.
  • Administrative duties as assigned
  • Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Experience in developing and facilitating trainings.
  • Knowledge in adult learning and training techniques.
  • Basic office skills, knowledge of how to operate a computer with a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • Manufacturing/Production experience preferred, but not required

Working with manual and automated processes and equipment.  Factory climate changes with the season.  The plant produces and employees will be handling products that contain allergens, including, but not limited to milk, soy, wheat, egg, tree nuts and peanuts.
