  • To oversee and direct all warehousing and logistics operations at Dianne’s Fine Desserts- Newburyport
  • Coordinate all LTL common carrier deliveries, and investigate new methods of shipping our product
  • Maintain integrity of all temperature-sensitive raw materials and finished goods utilizing standards set by Dianne’s Fine Desserts management team
  • Establish, monitor, and operate within departmental budget
  • Negotiate and procure all materials for warehousing and logistics operation
  • Maintain integrity of both finished goods and raw materials inventory via JD Edwards
  • Negotiate and procure all materials for warehousing and logistics operation
  • Ensure compliance with all inbound and outbound lot tracking procedures JD Edwards
  • Participate in management meetings
  • Participate in Safety program
  • Interface daily with Procurement and Production to maintain production efficiencies and customer satisfaction
  • Manage monthly physical inventories and reconciliation to ensure accurate financials and procurement
  • Assist in ensuring accurate usage of JD Edwards to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Train, develop, coach, and counsel warehouse staff
  • Approve all departmental spending to maintain budgetary compliance
  • Ensure inspections of all inbound and outbound trucks, using established shipping and receiving procedures, to ensure the highest quality products going to our customers
  • Manage employees in the bargaining unit in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Verify all production numbers received into finished goods storage, thus maintaining inventory accuracy in JD Edwards
  • Interface with Production Planning Manager to ensure product availability
  • Mediate all third-party shipping issues
  • Participate in the yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures & corrective actions as needed
  •  College degree (BA/BS preferred)
  • Bilingual speaking and writing skills (preferred)-English/Spanish
  • JD Edwards experience required
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience (warehouse preferred)
  • Direct exposure to purchasing, accounting, data processing, and manufacturing processes
  • Strong computer skills (including MRP systems)
  • Working knowledge of HACCP
  • APICS or other resource management society affiliation preferred
  • Leadership skills, analytical ability, integrity, initiative, objectivity, creativity, human relations skills, written and verbal communication skills
